Remote Camp Recruitment Advisor – 1 Year

Description: 

We are seeking a Recruitment Advisor who demonstrates creativity in sourcing and selling job opportunities to candidates. The ideal candidate will thrive on challenges, embrace ambiguity, and adapt quickly to the constantly changing hiring needs. You'll be part of a small, collaborative team managing end-to-end recruitment for multiple camps, each with unique requirements. This role involves a significant amount of administration. This is a hybrid position, with three days a week in our Calgary office. 

As a project-based company, this role is currently offered as a temporary 1-year contract. 

Responsibilities: 

Oversee the entire recruitment cycle for multiple remote camp sites, ensuring a positive candidate experience and effectively promoting our Employment Value Proposition.  Conduct high-volume, fast-paced recruitment specifically for camp mobilizations, including new project start-ups and existing project camps in remote locations.  Proactively partner with business leaders and Human Resources Business Partners to understand workforce requirements.   Conduct interviews, manage onboarding processes, develop recruitment strategies, and select candidates in accordance with hiring manager standards.   Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations to increase participation from under-represented groups.  Build and maintain a talent pipeline of candidates for future consideration in key roles.   Support and attend recruitment and human resources events, including job fairs and client-based open houses.  Hiring for essential roles in our remote camps: kitchen staff, janitorial, housekeeping, and maintenance. These positions are vital for smooth operations and require dedicated individuals. Criminal record checks and drug/alcohol testing are mandatory.   Some limited travel may be required. 

Qualifications/Skills: 

 Must reside in Calgary, Alberta.   3+ years of experience in a high-volume recruitment role. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.   Organized with proven attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle high-volume work in a fast-paced environment.  Recruiting experience for remote camps with diverse groups across North America would be considered an asset.   Experience recruiting for trades roles and US-based recruitment would be considered an asset.   Experience in coordinating and conducting mass hiring projects, including project mobilizations and ramp-ups.  Comfortable working under pressure in a high-volume recruiting environment.  Self-driven and reliable, with a strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness. Able to work independently and manage your own schedule.  Quick learner, adaptable to complex and challenging systems, including proprietary or unfamiliar software. Previous experience with Oracle is an asset.  Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and strong interpersonal abilities.  Capable of handling highly confidential information appropriately.  Effective and professional in a dynamic environment, managing multiple client demands and priorities.  Collaborative team player, able to establish strong working relationships.
