Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Engineer II (Azure IaaS Specialist) for our jewelry insurance customer to ideally sit hybrid onsite in Neenah, WI or Dallas, TX. We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer with a strong focus on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of virtual machines (VMs) and their associated operating systems within Azure. This role also requires expertise in core Windows Server operating services such as IIS, DNS, DHCP, and File Shares, along with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and secure cloud-based infrastructure. This role will also have the opportunity to help the business transform a traditional server infrastructure to the use of containers and cloud platform services in the future. Responsibilities include:  Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure Virtual Machines and associated resources.  Configure and maintain virtual networks, storage, and compute services in Azure.  Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems hosted in Azure.  Manage core Windows Server roles and features including IIS, DNS, DHCP, and File Shares.  Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.  Leverage Azure tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track metrics and resolve issues proactively.  Implement and maintain DNS configurations to ensure seamless application connectivity.  Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools to streamline operations.  Implement best practices for securing VMs and data within Azure.  Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.  Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and changes.  Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams as needed. Skills and Requirements Must have at least 4 - 6 years of related experience in Information Technology.  Must have at least 1 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure.  Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically in deploying and managing IaaS solutions  Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, networking, security, and storage.  Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell or Bash.  Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including roles like IIS, DNS, DHCP, and File Shares.  Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Azure Virtual Machines.  Hands-on experience with DNS configurations and network troubleshooting.  Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.  Understanding of Azure governance, cost management, and resource tagging best practices.
