Responsible for Supervising Patient Access and Scheduling functions, including but not limited to:
• Delegates activities to facility Patient Access staff to ensure the Patient Access flow, record creations, financial related aspects, customer service standards and other initiatives of the department are met.
• Ensure that the staff members adhere to all organizational standards, are productive, and produce high-quality work.
• Ensure staffing levels are appropriate, complete performance management, corrective action management, communicate and work with the human resource department in position posting process management and review of potential applicants for employment.
• Oversees and facilitates on-boarding of staff.
• Works closely with Organizational Leadership to understand compliance needs, patient access concerns and overall monitors the patient access functions and completes other duties as assigned while exhibiting exemplary Tidelands Health core customer service values.
• Act as a link between the Patient Access Department and the various departments in the Hospitals, IDTF, and Physician Practices.
• Supervise, evaluate and train staff – to include customer service and patient relations experience and trends.
Experience:
3+ years related experience as executive assistant to senior executives in corporate environment or healthcare administration preferred. Healthcare and medical terminology preferred.Project management/LEAN experience preferred.Education: High School Diploma Required; Associates Degree preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Advanced proficiency in a variety of MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Power BI, MS Teams, etc.)Anticipate needs of Senior executives and operations team and proactively solve problems in real timeAbility to work independently with complex workload, triage and level priorities based on current demands, demonstrate excellent organization and multi-tasking skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; understands need for urgency when necessaryAbility to collect and assimilate data, assist with analysis and presentation compilationExceptional communication and relational values rooted in service mentality (soft skills); demonstrates ability to interface with customers (peers, colleagues, physicians, and customers (patients/families) with compassion and empathyDemonstrate ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and highest integrity, regarding sensitive data, records, files, conversations, contracts, etc.Healthcare and medical terminology preferred.Project management/LEAN experience preferred.Physical Requirements: Light Physical Agility Test Rating (PAT)
