Job Description A client is looking for a Feature Engineer to focus on creating, modifying, and optimizing features for Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to model. Responsibilities include: - Data Cleaning and Preprocessing by preparing raw data by handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies - Feature Creation by generating new features from existing data through domain knowledge, mathematical transformations, and statistical techniques - Feature Selection by identifying the most relevant features to improve model performance and reduce complexity - Data Transformation by scaling, normalizing, and encoding features to ensure they are in the appropriate format for machine learning algorithms. - Domain Expertise to applying knowledge of the specific domain to engineer features that capture relevant patterns and insights - Iterative Improvement by continuously refining features based on model performance and feedback from cross-validation or real-world testing. - Collaboration with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and domain experts to understand the problem and the impact of different features on the models performance. Skills and Requirements - Role focuses on Feature Engineering/Data Transformation for downstream analytical processes - Partner with data engineers to ensure data access for discovery and proper data is prepared for model consumption. - Intuitiveness working with data, ability to analyze in depth - Partner with ML engineers and data scientists working globally regarding data pipelines and data versioning and create scalable model ready data. - 4+ years experience - Skills - Python, PySpark, Data Bricks, Azure platform, ADF, Datalake, Blob , Hive - Must be able to design a solution based on the requirements - Must have strong SQL writing experience - Must be good at data analysis and profiling - Must be able to work independently and prioritize work across multiple projects - Azure Dev Ops and CICD experience - Experience on Teradata/any RDBMS - ETL experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
