Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964. The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care. Interpret and abstract data (clinical, demographic, etc) from the electronic medical record for malignant and non-malignant tumors into the network cancer registry database in accordance with guidelines set forth by national standard setters and the cancer reporting legal requirements from the State of Ohio.
Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Responsibilities

Interpret and abstract data (clinical, demographic, etc) from the electronic medical record for malignant and non-malignant tumors into the network cancer registry database in accordance with guidelines set forth by national standard setters and the cancer reporting legal requirements from the State of Ohio. Identify cancer cases across the network that must be reported per state/national guidelines via casefinding procedures. Maintains the cancer registry abstract with annual outcomes data collection, including the vital status and cancer status of patients annually. Assists in maintaining high quality cancer registry data collection thru departmental quality initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidates for this position may participate in the departmental remote work program for CTRs if they meet and maintain the requirements outlined in the program, which include quality standards and productivity goals.

The work location could include onsite, hybrid (onsite and remote), or fully remote status.
