Remote Pharmacy Technician
Reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination for a Pharmacy Services department
Must either approve or deny and then send them to a pharmacists for final review
Handling all health plans, and all types of medications
Handling some phone calls from members - inbound call
Track coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers
Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria
Enter and document coverage determination request decision into the PBM system and notify providers and/or members
Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications
Refer coverage determination requests for specialty drugs to delegated vendor or client for processing
Contact providers for additional information to facilitate coverage determination reviews
Notify physicians, providers, and members of coverage determination request decisions
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Must hold an active Pharmacy Technician license as required by state of operation
Experience retail pharmacy, hospital, or specialty pharmacy environments
Must be able to type 40 WPM
Shift
Must be open Monday-Friday 7am-8pm in your respective time zone
Rotating weekends (will enter into a rotation for weekends, won't be working every weekend or every other weekend, but every 4-6 weeks)
Must be able to work some holidays
Training will be 10:00 am EST-6:30 pm EST time. After training, you will work your regular shift.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
