The Remote Salt Tax Director is responsible for leading a team of tax professionals in the preparation, review and filing of state and local taxes. This position requires a CPA with in-depth knowledge of state income taxes, SALT, franchise taxes, and related regulations. 

 

100% Remote opportunity and $200k-$300k earnings potential. 
 

Position Overview: The Remote Salt Tax Director will lead a remote team and manage the tax department operations. They will provide guidance on complex tax matters and ensure compliance with state and local regulations. The Salt Tax Director will prepare tax returns and manage the state and local tax filing process.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of remote tax professionals and manage the overall tax department operations.Analyze and interpret state and local tax regulations and ensure compliance.Review tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.Prepare and file state and local tax returns.Assist in responding to state and local tax audits.Identify areas of potential savings and develop strategies to reduce tax liabilities.Provide advice and guidance to other departments on complex state and local tax matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.CPA with at least 10 years of experience in the field of state and local taxes.Thorough knowledge of state income taxes, SALT, franchise taxes, and related regulations.Excellent problem solving and project management skills.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of partnerships, 1040, and S-Corp is a plus.
