Remote Technical Writer
Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire Technical Writers to lower the overall call volume of a large financial clients Help Desk, to increase the productivity and effectiveness of our customers through faster product enablement and adoption of new features and functionality. Position requires creation, updating and overall management of end-user and support self-help content within our knowledge management system, inclusive of curating the content, building and delivering focused trainings (in-person, 1-5min videos, interactive training modules), collaborating with product owners and delivery teams to properly introduce new products and workflows to internal users, defining custom curriculums. This effort requires curated support and end-user training documentation inclusive of 30sec "got a minute video" up to 10-minute user help video creation that provide specific instruction or guidance around technology functionality, workflow or expected experience. Skills and Requirements -5+ years delivering end user training both in classroom and virtual to varied audiences with differing technical aptitudes -5+ yrs hands on experience using and developing end-user content around the MSFT Suite of products and technologies -Experience with creating, delivering, and distributing interactive e-learning and video content for both technical and non-technical end-users. -Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral, with attention to detail; proofreading and visual layout skills a plus. -Experience in writing and editing end-user documentation and writing training material for a technical audience. -Prior experience with a KCS based Content Management System -Ability to describe technical concepts and present them in a clear, professional, and concise manner in both oral and written forms. -Organizational awareness and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization. -Strong corporate presentation skills, with the ability to tailor the message to different audiences. -Proven track record of successful project delivery. Able to work on multiple projects concurrently, often under tight deadlines. -Ability to formalize and document processes into clear workflows for support teams to execute. -An understanding of help desk workflows, including ticketing, call flow, and issue lifecycle is a plus. -Experience as a technical support help desk agent or service center technician is a plus. -Experience in ServiceNow Knowledge Management -Experience in Banking, Financial Sales and Trading -Work hours due to varying meetings typically falls between 6am-6pm EST null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
