Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area. **_About The Position_** _The Renewable Energy Development Transaction Specialist will support the execution of Ameren's Generation Transformation Plan by working cross-functionally with key leaders and teams on project due diligence in support of contract negotiations and regulatory approval for renewable acquisitions – build and development transfer agreements. This individual is responsible for cross-functional team coordination and timely communication on diligence activities, status, and risks and mitigation plans identified._ **_Key responsibilities include:_** + Build and maintain strong relationships with the Renewable Energy Development Team Leadership and Cross-functional Teams to support key activities and initiatives related to due diligence and risk assessment for renewable energy acquisitions as part of Ameren Missouri's Generation Transformation plan. + Closely evaluate, streamline and maintain due diligence processes for acquisition of renewable energy projects. Participate in all due diligence meetings and coordinate internal and external resources to conduct due diligence activities in compliance with corporate processes to ensure continued and timely progress, identify and respond to key issues in a timely manner and systematically monitor and measure the overall status of the due diligence process. + Ensure continuous improvement and standardization of due diligence information, deliverables and processes with each new renewable energy project. Maintain streamlined and easily accessible shared due diligence systems and/or data rooms. + Work with all due diligence team members, leads and external experts, to develop and maintain a standardized risk assessment matrix and process for all new renewable energy projects. + Plan and attend meetings, identify major action items and work with leadership and others to ensure resources are available to complete all renewable energy due diligence and risk assessment tasks in a timely manner. + Assist with local, state and federal regulatory filings required for renewable energy acquisitions, specifically supporting the internal business case justifications, economic evaluation, technical and commercial due diligence data requests and regulatory filings with the Missouri Public Service Commission. + Work closely with key functions across the enterprise including but not limited to Corporate Strategy, Innovation & Sustainability, Real Estate, Environmental, Regulatory, Economic Development & Energy Solutions, Legal, Tax, Transmission, Digital, Supply Chain & Procurement, etc.to support the development of renewable energy projects. **_Qualifications_** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University is required. Two or more years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience in or knowledge of Energy Generation, Renewable Energy Development, Transaction M&A, and/or other aspects of Sustainability preferred. Project management experience preferred.
