We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the successful operation and management of a portfolio of renewable energy facilities. The successful candidate collaborates with the site O&M team, partners, vendors and internal resources to maximize performance while prioritizing safety, compliance and ethics. This role is expected to visit the assets frequently and provide direction/feedback directly to O&M providers. This role supports multiple project sites and technologies. Primary duties include the following:

 

SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL: Ensure O&M providers, Dominion Energy colleagues and you are in compliance and meeting Dominion’s high safety and environmental standards. Work with Dominion’s internal Safety and Environmental groups to review any incidents and identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.     OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Manage the performance of your sites. Lead efforts with internal and external team members to restore sites to production followig outages. Identify opportunities to improve site performance. Work with O&M and other resources to put action plans together to improve performance. Develop and manage spare parts inventory. FINANCIAL: Assist in the development and monitoring of O&M and capital budgets. Work with the Finance group to explain variances to budget. ENERGY MARKETING: Work with Dominion’s energy marketing teams to communicate any operational issues that could impact the site’s energy output. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Manage relationships with stakeholders, landowners and lessors. Support Dominion's Business Development group as needed for project diligence efforts. LEGAL: Assist in contract negotiations for the various services related to your projects. Develop an understanding of how PPAs, Leases, CUPs etc. affect your sites and assist in tracking and ensuring compliance. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-7+ years of directly related experience required.

-Previous experience in project management, site performance, outage management and/or renewables.

-Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of renewable energy generation.

-Skilled in management of contracted staff.

-Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of people with various levels of understanding of renewable energy, to influence without authority.

-Knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) and/or Independent System Operator (ISO) operating procedures.

-Knowledge of and familiarity with Regulatory agencies including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).

-Skilled in the use of a personal computer and related software.

Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more rounds to one full year of qualifications.

Bachelor
