SUMMARY OF JOB The Renovation Specialist performs skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and structural systems related to unit renovations and turnovers. The Renovation Specialist monitors the performance of heating, cooling, and related systems, troubleshoots problems, and makes adjustments, when necessary. In addition, this position performs routine carpentry work to complete renovations and unit turn-overs including cabinetry repair/replacement, painting and flooring repairs. Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on electric bed and nurses’ call. Maintains boiler room and boiler related equipment and emergency generator and related equipment. CONNECTING TO MISSION: Serves as a role model for Redeemer Health to patients, residents, families, co-workers and visitors and acts in a respectful, supportive and empathetic manner RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS A high school diploma or the equivalent plus completion of a maintenance vocational/technical school or a recognized apprenticeship program in general mechanical maintenance. Significant mechanical maintenance experience beyond requirements including competency in one of the mechanical trades may be substituted for the required vocational/technical school or apprenticeship. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in one of the mechanical trades; nine (9) or more years of experience is preferred. Proven skills using electrical test equipment, and small hand and power tools, mechanical equipment and materials applicable to the mechanical trades Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Computer literacy. LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver’s license. ASHE MECH certification and OSHA 10 certification preferred. Redeemer Health is an equal opportunity employer.
