Job Title - Rental Advisor
Location - 22 Central Park, Mallusk, Newtownabbey BT36 4FS
Role Purpose
To develop the rental business to achieve and exceed the company's targets, whilst controlling the fleet and costs within agreed budgets. To ensure the company always delivers excellent levels of customer service whilst maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
To provide a high level of customer service in all customer contact situations, recognizing the company's Customer Service standards and your opportunity to deliver total customer satisfaction.To promote and sell the company's products and services to achieve and exceed agreed targets.To ensure regular business development contact with prospective and existing businesses to maximise opportunities including repeat business.To be commercially aware and recognize and report on prospective business opportunities and competitor activity.Liaise with Senior management to achieve necessary vehicles levels to maximise business opportunities.To ensure correct fleet mix to achieve and exceed overall utilisation targets of 90% using Fleet utilisation KPI To ensure effective damage reporting to minimise unnecessary repair costs affecting damage costs absorption.To ensure that legally determined routine maintenance requirements are adhered to and monitored regularly.To ensure that vehicles are maintained both mechanically and aesthetically so that the fleet is not only roadworthy but well presented at all times, including cleanliness and hygiene.To ensure effective completion and monitoring of the Pre-Hire and Return Condition Reports.To complete fleet checks in order to protect and monitor company assets.Responsible for security of vehicles, keys, payments, premises and customer safety.All hire staff to handle telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner, adhering to the company's telephone technique.To accurately complete all rental administration and vehicle documentation according to the Company's Operating Procedures.To ensure that vehicles are delivered and collected according to customers specified requirements.To inform customs of all relevant information regarding vehicle handover and termination.To ensure that deliveries and collections are planned using resources available within the Hire & Cleaning departments.To liaise with internal departments where appropriate.Identify personal training and development needs to keep abreast of current legislation in the rental /commercial vehicle market.To drive company vehicles with care and adhere to the company's Driving Standards Policy.Take an active part in upholding the Company's Health and Safety Policy as set out in the company handbook. (Statement of Main Terms of Employment).Carry out instructions/ procedures as requested by senior management.Any other reasonable duty as requested by senior management.
Security and Administration
To ensure the safety of staff, customers, premises, vehicles and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.To ensure all administration is completely accurate according to the Company's operating procedures, and deadlines are met.To maintain high levels of security regarding vehicles, premises, and confidential information.Ensure site and staff present a professional image at all times.KPls to be maintained
Revenue per unit per vehicle rental category, achieving or exceeding £945 target.Fleet growth annually, achieving Company budget target.Overall Fleet utilisation achieving target of 89.5%.Spot Hire Fleet utilisation per category, achieving target of 89.5%.Damage absorption and recharge (vehicle condition)Management of Fleet mileageManaging monthly maintenance spend within budget
