Rental Business Manager

The Rental Business Manager role for Ford of Britain will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key rental partners. This role involves overseeing the rental fleet program, ensuring Customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets through effective account management. Key responsibilities include negotiating rental agreements, coordinating vehicle availability, and providing excellent support to partners. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the automotive industry, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to enhance Ford's presence in the UK rental market.
Good interpersonal skills essential. Previous field sales experience (Fleet BM or Car/CV zone manager) preferred. Highly numerate with strong Excel skills essential. Strong business acumen Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present comfortably up to and at board level essential. Strong drive for results and proven track record of meeting sales targets in a high pressure time restricted environment essential. Knowledge of SEER and Ford systems including VISTA, AFRL SalesForce and FBMS, desirable. Deliver annual programme sales volumes within approved budget parameters and in line with programme calendarisation. Represent Ford and act as the first point of contact with all assigned Rental customers, including Major Daily Rental, Regional Rental and independent bodyshops. Negotiate Regional Rental deals in line with approved budget parameters and jointly manage the Regional Rental flex budget. Support negotiations with Major Daily Rental, Other Daily Rental and independent bodyshop customers as necessary. Supply/present product and supply (OTD) information to customers in a comprehensive, relevant and timely manner to support achievement of programme sales volumes and new model launches. Liaise with sales planning/order fulfilment to ensure rental wholesale volumes are ordered in line with both rental customer and Ford requirements. Understand and resolve all rental customer concerns, from order to delivery to registration and aftersales where appropriate. Ensure all customer contracts are signed and up to date. Act as dealer liaison in support of the Ford/Rental customer relationship. Qualify and capture new customers where appropriate. Have a comprehensive knowledge of the Company's Car and Commercial Vehicle product range and its competitive position. Maintain close liaison with other areas within the company such as the Car and CV marketing Teams, Fleet Marketing, Supply Chain and Ford Credit. Maintain personal awareness of the company's quality and audit policies and procedures and ensure that they comply with the general and operational procedures described within the company's quality documentation.
