What You Will Be Doing:As a Service Manager at Yancey Power Systems, you’ll be the leader of the Service Department within the Rental Power/HVAC/Compressed Air Division.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
Supervise the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including but not limited to the following: Diesel Generators 20kw to 2MW; Air–Cooled Chillers 100 to 400 Tons; Air-Conditioners 5 to 40 Tons; Air Compressors 375CFM to 1800CFM; Electrical Distribution; Load Banks Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes Supervise Rental Service Technicians, ensuring safety policies and procedures are always followed Build strong customer relationships through the delivery of high quality and timely customer service Apply Yancey policies to maximize productivity while maintaining a safe work environment in a clean, organized facility Manage the shop operating expenses Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics Meet on regular basis with Operations Manager, reporting any problems and discussing possible solutions Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner. Additional duties as assigned by manager.Education/Experience:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED. 5+ years of industry experience. Proven leadership experience leading a team of 5+ individuals.Required Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to adhere to all safety standards, enforce standards with your team, recognize safety hazards, and implement preventative measures. Critical thinking and problem solving skills to meet the needs of our customers and employees. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Working knowledge of computers and other systems, emphasizing MS Office products. Valid class C driver's license.
