Responsibilities:
Ships, receives, and operates equipment in the yardPromptly greets and assists customers in the yardCleaning and prepping equipment for rental usageEnsures proper documentation of incoming/outgoing equipmentMaintains a clean and orderly yard that creates an efficient rental operations processMaintains grounds including snow removalMonitors and maintains fuel and fluid levels for shops and on branch machineryParks equipment in designated areas, according to appearance and guidelinesWorks collaboratively on a teamProvides assistance to other departments as requestedCompletes responsibilities safelyQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required3+ years experience required operating equipment or related dutiesPersonal Characteristics: attention to detail, dependable, self-starter, customer-focused, efficient, and team playerAbility to operate machinery and perform job duties safely requiredClean driving recordAbility to work independently with limited supervisionKnowledge of Ziegler’s rental equipmentThis role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirementMinimum Physical Requirements:
Push/pull up to 50 lbs
Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
Lift bulky objects
Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
