Inviting applications for the role of Repack Planner - Domain Trainee –Hungarian – Remote PL
Responsibilities
The resource would be part of the Repack Planning team and would be independently working to:
· Generate weekly forecasts from statistical through to final operations forecast
· Work with stakeholders to understand historical trends, events, outliers etc. to improve the forecasting technique, method and approach for better forecast accuracy
· Lead the pre-forecast monthly meetings aiming to decrease the bias, improve the forecast accuracy and promote the continuous optimization in demand planning
· Work with innovation, and marketing teams to manage new product launches and transition planning, maintain the innovation library
· Ensure master data is correctly and timely updated in the system
· Understand statistical aspects of forecasting to ensure models are updated accurately
· Maintain forecasting strategies in Kinaxis.
· Understand and challenge the machine learning algorithms.
· Lead weekly alignment meetings with Planning (Supply, Deployment and Innovation Planning) to discuss production plans and handling exceptions
· Ensure that aggregation and dis aggregation of forecast happens accurately at all levels
· Support the implementation of innovation plans by category, defining volumes, stocks and sales opening strategy
· Maintaining capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives
· Provides supply planning expertise to the commercialization of new products or resolution of key inventory shortage issues
· Schedule finished goods production for each assigned product group. Supply recommendations are based upon scheduling parameters and system settings that are developed and maintained to support sales goals, inventory financial targets, as well as minimizing the age of product when shipped to a customer
· Coordinate activity that impacts brand’s ability to maintain constant and sufficient product supply, ensuring communication with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and other internal customers
· Manage and control finished goods inventories for assigned items in order to achieve the company's financial targets along with utilizing old age reports to determine action required to initiate salvage sale or disposal of product
· Participate in department and company initiatives requiring the expertise of a supply planner. Activities could include but are not limited to consensus seasonal teams, new product introduction teams, supply chain cost optimization opportunities or business process initiatives
· Initiate product listing/delisting/withdrawal in conjunction with Marketing
· Acting swiftly on high priority issues (escalations from high priority customers) and supporting their resolution with ownership
· Monitor forecast vs. sales evolution, stock projection review and compliance vs stock targets.
· Complete forward service risk evaluation, reporting and develop mitigating actions
· Lead/manage out-of-stock supply crisis management
· Loss Tree code assignment for Losses Before dispatch (LBD), corrections, historical service evaluation and reporting
· Assess feasibility and provide timely feedback on incremental stock requests
· Transition management (listings, de-listings, flow throughs, etc.)
· Complete master data management requests
· Assess and report obsoletes provisions (including for on-going repack), write-offs for out of shelf life stock (incl. triggering disposals with logistics)
· Reports and analytics (e.g. ARM, unproductive stock, RR deals, SAM, pallet projection reports, product catalogue, etc.)
· Review Overdue open PO report, make PO corrections and invoice corrections
· Ad-hoc activities related to the above Hub processes
· Ensure and drive the upkeep and maintenance of process documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems by the team
Qualifications Minimum qualificationsUniversity degreeStrong knowledge of demand and supply planning processes such as base lining, best fit modeling, forecast enrichment, outlier correction, promotions, events, trend, forecast lags, forecast accuracy/bias etc.Good knowledge of various statistical forecasting and inventory optimization techniquesFunctional experience in forecasting tools such as Kinaxis, SAP APO, Demantra etc.Understanding of database management and any ERP architecture preferably in demand and/or Supply planningKnowledge of key inventory performance metrics: inventory turns, service levels, safety stock, classes of inventory etc.Experience in managing phase in phase out products· Excellent verbal and written communication.
