Introduction

We are seeking a Repairs Technician to join our team in Tomago.  You will be responsible for component refurbishment and service activities relating to Metso OEM equipment components, complete machines and spare parts. 
In this position, you will report to the Workshop Supervisor.

This position is located onsite in Tomago.

Team you belong to

You will join a strong workshop team who work well together. This is a Monday to Friday role and we can offer some flexibility with our rosters.

What you’ll do

• Assist other Tradesmen to undertake strip and assess and then rebuild of Metso fixed plant equipment including, but not limited to crushers, crusher components, screens and screen parts, gearboxes, conveyor pulleys and drives, hydraulic units, slurry pumps, rail car and dumper components.
• Move from one task to another as required to meet production schedules.
• Work on manual lathes and milling machines.
• Train and mentor apprentices
• Records, analyses and informs relevant personnel of production quality assurance
• Informs of status and disposition of customer requirements specific to job progress and status.

Who you are

• Relevant Trade Certificate
• Current drivers licence
• Good communication skills
• Workshop experience working on OEM equipment
• Experience in machining small and large parts to tight tolerances
• Forklift Certificate.
• Dogman Certificate

• Knoweldge with screens/pumps/crusher will be an advantage.
