As a Trading Services Analyst in Market Operations, you will be responsible for performing control reconciliations to verify trade positions, investigating settlements, and focusing on process re-engineering and automation.

Job responsibilities

Upload market data to different risk management systemsPerform reconciliations against market sourcesPerform numerous control reconciliations to verify trading positions are accurate through front office to middle office reconciliations, middle office to back office reconciliationsInvestigate and provide solutions to various queries from settlements and confirmationsProduce management statisticsComplete operations projects and ad hoc requests to satisfy new initiatives and operations/technology enhancements (new system implementations)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Strong logical/analytical mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quoProcess flow understanding, including ability to understand current flows and linkage between systems and think how the process can be improved/streamlinedAvailability to work during standard business hours, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or a related filed preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.Strong understanding of financial products and markets, including derivatives, fixed income, and foreign exchange.Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks in trade data.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different departments and levels of the organization.1 year of experience in finance industry operations roles.
