What’s the role?

Are you an experienced and dedicated Reporter? Do you have a passion for news and can produce stories that captivate readers? We would love to meet you!

This role will be covering news in northern Tasmania for The Mercury on a 11 month contract starting in January

Commission, edit and write engaging original content with a strong consumer focus

Deliver excellent, fast, online reporting

Propose stories and execute when necessary

Produce stories that engage and captivate readers

Some weekend and evening work will be required

Several years of experience in business reporting

A talented, ambitious journalist to contribute to a multimedia newsroom

Passionate about news and storytelling

Able to drive subscriptions and further expand, grow and maintain our audiences
