The Reporting Analyst position is essential to the continuous evolution of our financial reporting processes. With a focus on digital transformation for finance, the primary objective of this role is to support a variety of critical activities within the Digital Insights operations, ensuring support for our internal finance stakeholders. This role is pivotal in designing, building, testing, and implementing finance reports within the CXO-Cockpit application, while also establishing robust governance and maintenance processes to support our finance community effectively.

Brief About our team

The Global Finance Digital Insights team, comprising over 30 talented professionals, serves Experian's finance teams across the globe, including locations in Nottingham (UK), Sofia (Bulgaria), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Costa Mesa & Texas (USA), Bogota (Colombia), and Sao Paulo (Brazil). Our team of finance and IT specialists collaborates to manage Experian's financial reporting systems, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and consistency. We are also at the forefront of defining and deploying new reporting applications and management information tools.

 

What you'll be doing

Report design

Build relationships with the finance community to collaborate and determine new report requirements.Develop reports in CXO-Cockpit to meet these requirements.Provide best practice report design advice, troubleshoot & improve existing report design

 

Content reviews

Conduct cyclical reviews of all application content to improve and align reports.Collaborate with the software provider to assess new features and request system improvementsIdentify gaps in report templates and implement improvements.Expand use-cases for current reports to promote global adoption.

 

Application management

Perform report and application maintenance activities.Lead system management of reporting cycles (Budget, QPRs, HYR).Develop governance and control processes.Monitor report performance, use best-in-practice scripting skills to improve speedProvide coaching for team members.

 

Process Improvement

Enhance internal team processes.Manage support tickets in the ServiceNow queue during APAC hours, ensuring resolution.Manage external and internal documents, including access and security instructions and developer process notes.

 

User support

Develop finance user training documentation.Manage end-user provisioning and access.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Degree preferrable in finance or IT technical courses.Experience minimum 3+ years proven experience in reporting and data analytics, within a finance functionEffective Communicator: Confident speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Data Visualization: Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques.Technical Expertise: Familiarity with finance reporting applications such as Tableau, Power BI, CXO-Cockpit, Hyperion, OBIEE, Business Objects, etc.Advanced Skills: expertise in Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint.Additional Knowledge: Awareness of SQL/MDX language is a plus.
