Aviva are currently recruiting for an Actuarial Reporting Analyst to be a part of our forward-thinking Capital Reporting team. This is a great opportunity to be involved with the delivery of the key Solvency II metrics for Aviva’s UK Life business.
This role could be ideal for you, if you have experience in reporting or life insurance, along with an interest to learn and expand your knowledge in capital reporting.
A bit about the job:
The role is part of the Solvency Monitoring & MI sub-team running processes and working with other areas of Finance to deliver the monthly Solvency Monitoring estimates and other key SII financial metrics.
The Solvency Monitoring & MI sub-team is part of the wider Capital Reporting team. There will be the opportunity for exposure or rotation into other areas within the Capital Reporting team which has responsibility for:
Solvency Monitoring (SM)
Calculation of Risk Margin (RM) and Transitional Measure on Technical Provision (TMTP)
Calculation of Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR)
Sensitivities and Stress and Scenario Testing
Loss Functions Fitting and Multi-Risk Scenario Validation
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Mathematical\Finance or Actuarial degree or equivalent.
Life insurance or reporting experience (understanding/knowledge with Solvency II) is desirable, but not essential as training and support is available
Ability to work well both individually, and as part of a team.
Ability to deliver high-quality financial results to tight deadlines.
Risk and control focus to ensure correct and insightful outputs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
