Reporting & Analytics Specialist

General Description:

The PRS Reporting and Analytics specialist applies P&C insurance knowledge and reporting best practices to the development of business intelligence reports for PRS.  The position works closely with PRS partners to understand business challenges and complex data needs, develop appropriate solutions, and promote the resulting tools into production. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business partners to develop, enhance, and reconcile self-service reporting tools built using strategic BI tools Independently query various PRS, corporate, and third-party data sources in response to complex ad hoc requests from business users Research new data sources, determine viability, and when appropriate leverage for production solutions Ability to identify and clearly summarize business issues/anomalies and clearly communicate the potential drivers  Quickly prototype potential solutions and present various options to business stakeholders Complete production support, recurring, and ad-hoc analytical packages timely and accurately Apply best practices on analytics, data analysis, and reporting development

Requirements:

3-5 years business intelligence experience Solid understanding of personal lines insurance concepts including sales, pricing, and underwriting Proficient with a variety of business intelligence tools (i.e. Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power Query and Power BI, SQL, Python) Highly effective analytical/problem solving and research skills Inherent desire to research new data sources and reporting methodologies Ability to maintain progress on multiple tasks and adjust quickly to meet business priorities Highly effective communication skills both verbal and written Ability to liaise between highly technical staff in IT and analytics and end-user business partners Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, business leaders, and external partners
