Reporting and Analytics Team Leader

Role description:

Oversee the reporting/analytics and automation team, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. 

Role accountabilities: 

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

 

Team Leadership Management

Lead, mentor, and manage the reporting/analytics and automation team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and expectations for team members, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Oversee resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of reports, dashboards, and analytics projects. Promote best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting. Ensure team members adhere to company policies and regulations while implementing any management changes effectively. Facilitate talent acquisition efforts to maintain the team's quality and support consistent growth. Oversee efficient induction and onboarding processes, collaborating with HR, IT, and other enabling functions to ensure a seamless transition. Identify and develop team members' skills and capabilities through training and coaching, aligning their growth with business needs.

 

Data Analytics & Reporting

Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business needs. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all reports and analytics outputs through rigorous validation and quality control processes. Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical specifications and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure effective implementation. Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability. Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance reporting capabilities and drive innovation. 

 

Stakeholder Collaboration 

Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Graphic Design, Program Management, Pursuits and Proposals, Research) to understand business objectives and data requirements, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.  Communicate data insights and analytics findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.  Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting and analytics-related requests, initiatives, and issue resolution.  Collaborate with other Commercial Enablement Team Leaders from different functions in Manila to ensure the effective implementation of Global Shared Services Center (GSSC) policies and seamless business support.  Work jointly to develop strategies, set priorities, and drive continuous improvements to achieve collective goals. 

 

Data Governance & Process Improvement 

Develop and enforce data governance standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational policies.  Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall business impact.  Identify opportunities to automate reporting workflows, increasing scalability and reducing manual effort to improve team productivity.

Qualifications & Experience: 

A Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing and leading a team of analysts or data professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.  Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences clearly and effectively. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining quality. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and build strong, trusted stakeholder relationships. Experience with data visualization tools and data-driven decision-making processes is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management best practices is preferred.
