Reporting and Metrics Enablement Lead

The Data Management Enablement team is seeking a highly skilled Reporting and Metrics Enablement Lead to join the team. The is a senior role that combines deep expertise in risk data aggregation and reporting (RDARR) with strong project management and implementation skills.

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of RDARR requirements within the data management framework, including the development of reporting inventory, governance workflows and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Lead RDARR Implementation Projects: Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to RDARR framework implementation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239) and internal risk management needs.Data Governance and Quality: Ensuring data quality, consistency and compliance with relevant regulations and standardsTraining and support. Provide training and resources to empower teams with the skills and knowledge to effectively use the reporting inventory tools and associated metrics.Stakeholder Management: Engaging with various stakeholders, including risk managers, IT teams, business units, and regulators, to understand their requirements and communicate project updates and findings effectively.Technology Implementation: Work with IT teams to select and implement appropriate technology solutions for data aggregation, reporting, and analytics.Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of business analysts, data analysts, and other professionals involved in the RCE capability buildout.Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.

Required

Master’s degree in business administration, information systems computer science or a related field.Experience working as a self-directed contributor as well as a lead to meet complex business objectives in a highly matrixed environment. Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.Knowledge of Risk Management: Solid understanding of risk management concepts, methodologies, and frameworks.Data Management Skills: Expertise in data quality, data lineage, data governance initiatives in previous roles.Reporting and Visualization Skills: Proficiency in designing and leading development of management reports.Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate project team and to influence positive outcome without direct functional control.Experience in the Financial Industry: 10-15 years total experience in a financial institution or a related field is essential.

Preferred or nice to have specific skills:

Experience in Risk Reporting: Good understanding of RDARR principles, regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239), and best practices.Demonstrated success in data management improvements.Collibra data management tool experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range:

$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
