Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Reporting Specialist with 1-2 years’ experience to join our team. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual with strong skills in data clean-up, report development, and dashboard building. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity through thorough data clean-up processes and will create visually compelling and interactive standardized reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Clean-Up and Transformation: Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure accuracy and consistency, including removing duplicates, correcting errors, and standardizing formats. Transform data using tools such as Excel and Power BI to prepare it for reporting and analysis. Report and Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel, ensuring they provide actionable insights and support business objectives. Design and build visually compelling and interactive dashboards that effectively communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders. Data Visualization: Create data visualizations that enhance the readability and impact of reports and dashboards. Use charts, graphs, and other visual aids to present data in a clear and meaningful way. Report Maintenance and Distribution: Regularly update and maintain existing reports and dashboards to reflect the latest data and metrics. Distribute reports and dashboards to relevant stakeholders on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) and ensure timely and accurate delivery. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Validate report and dashboard outputs against source data to identify and correct discrepancies. Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, business analysts, and other team members to gather report and dashboard requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reports and dashboards meet their needs and provide valuable insights. User Support and Training: Provide support and training to report and dashboard users on how to interpret and utilize the information effectively. Address any user questions or issues related to reports and dashboards. Documentation: Document report and dashboard specifications, development processes, and update procedures. Maintain detailed records of report and dashboard versions and changes. Ad-Hoc Reporting: Create ad-hoc reports and dashboards as requested by stakeholders to support specific business needs or projects. Respond quickly to urgent reporting requests with accurate and relevant data. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest reporting tools and best practices. Propose enhancements to reporting processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
