Reports to: Finance Manager / Financial Reporting Lead
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reporting Workday Finance Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for generating and analysing financial reports using Workday Financial Management systems, providing insights into financial performance, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting for business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proficient in using Workday's reporting tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to process improvements in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting & Analysis:
* Develop, manage, and distribute regular financial reports using Workday, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
* Provide detailed variance analysis for financial results, comparing actuals to forecasts and prior periods.
* Identify trends and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
* Workday Reporting System Management:
* Create, maintain, and optimise Workday Financial Reports and Dashboards to ensure alignment with business needs and reporting accuracy.
* Troubleshoot Workday financial reporting issues, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data used in reports.
* Work with IT and Finance teams to implement system updates and enhancements related to reporting.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:
* Partner with finance business partners to understand reporting needs and tailor reports to meet those needs.
* Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by providing timely and accurate reporting.
* Work closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
* Process Improvement & Automation:
* Identify opportunities for streamlining reporting processes and improving efficiency using automation tools within Workday or other available platforms.
* Implement best practices for financial reporting and analytics, ensuring continuous improvement in reporting processes.
* Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis:
* Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests from management and other departments.
* Support special projects or financial analysis initiatives as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience:
* 2+ years of experience in financial reporting or finance analysis roles, with a strong focus on using Workday or similar ERP systems.
* Experience in designing, building, and automating financial reports within Workday.
* Proven ability to perform detailed financial analysis and variance reporting.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Workday Financial Management, including Workday reporting tools (e.g., Workday Report Writer, BIRT, Workday Prism Analytics).
* Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
* Familiarity with financial data integration, business intelligence (BI) tools, or other reporting software is a plus.
* Analytical Skills:
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and present it in an understandable manner.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
* Communication & Collaboration:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
