Reports Analyst
Position Description:

The Reports Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support informed decision-making within the organization. This role includes creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting processes. The Reports Analyst collaborates with various teams to provide insights on key metrics, performance indicators, business trends, and operational efficiencies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect, validate, and analyze data from various internal and external sources.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reports.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets to inform business analysis.
Reporting and Presentation:

Design and generate regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management and key stakeholders.
Develop ad-hoc reports to address specific business needs.
Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations to present complex data in a clear and actionable format.
Collaboration:

Work closely with teams such as Back Office and Client Service to understand their reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making across business and operations.
Process Improvement:

Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and streamline reporting processes.
Explore automation of reporting workflows using tools such as Excel macros, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
Tools and Systems Management:

Maintain and update reporting tools, systems, and processes.
Ensure proper documentation is kept for reports, processes, and systems.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Adhere to company data governance and security protocols when managing sensitive data.
Monitor and improve the accuracy and quality of data reporting.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Career Experience
• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
• Experience with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated quantitative abilities and attention to detail in large data sets.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Technical knowledge of data mining and reporting tools.
• Commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience in process mapping is an asset.
• Good relationship management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
