Research Analyst - M&A

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) provides details for announced mergers, divestitures, and spinoffs involving both public and private companies. The deal information includes deal terms, participants, advisors aimed to assist clients in analyzing M&A trends. Deal details are updated daily as new information is disclosed from newswires, financial institutions, financial publications, company filings and other reputable sources. Timeliness and accuracy of deal transactions are the main goals of the team. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Efficiently track Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), and accurately and concisely transpose relevant information into internal database/s.Collect, analyze, and process financial market information from various data sources and into the database/s utilized by the team.Execute audit resolutions and recommendations for market specific guidelines.Research company filings for financial data and value-added information related to M&A deals.Create and refine market specific guidelines as assigned.Provide accurate and reliable information for clients and ensure the integrity of the company's financial market information.Generate monthly reports addressing the M&A market for clients, media, and the investment community.Research and resolve data issues and questions from both internal and external clients.Establish contacts and liaise with investment banks and law firms involved in M&A deals as needed.Ad hoc reporting and research projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, or AccountingFundamental understanding of the M&A marketplace and the activities therein, with a solid understanding of financial and investment management conceptsStrong communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsA proactive, confident thinker proficient in multi-taskingIntermediate analytical and numerical skillsA proactive, confident thinker proficient in multi-taskingHighly self-motivated who can work independently as well as in a group setting.Enthusiasm, a strong sense of initiative, able to prioritize, with an eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.Fluent in English and other selected language/sKnowledge of the general rules of US GAAP, IFRS and/or other accounting standardsCompletion of internal department training program/sWilling to work on shifts (AM, PM, GY)
