Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant, Per Diem within the Cancer Epidemiology and Health Outcomes Division at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
The primary purpose of the Research Assistant, Per Diem position is to support all aspects of research efforts in a study of breast cancer survivors in New Jersey, including subject recruitment, case/participant scheduling, conducting in-person home interviews for data/biospecimen collection, maintaining databases, and monitoring the progress toward achieving study goals. This position requires working some evenings and weekends and extensive travel within the Gateway Region in New Jersey to conduct home or site visits for data collection and/or to participate in recruitment activities.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, responsible for scheduling and conducting in-person study at participants’ homes for data/biospecimen collection using structured questionnaires, organizing telephone schedule and call records to participants, attend study meetings and performing related duties as needed. Maintains participant’s records in electronic database and ensures their confidentiality. Participates in study meetings. Participates in all phases of the study and ensures compliance with the study protocol. Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Understands, demonstrates and models the Rutgers Cancer Institute core values.
