Position Summary:
Perform atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements in ultra high vacuum (UHV), including measurement of topography, electrostatic interactions and force noise.Adjust and optomize alignment of ultrafast laser optical excitation systems.Analyze data obtained on semicondutor and 2D samples by comparing to simulations.Prepare samples in UHV and maintain vacuum system as well as AFM.Summarize and write up scientific publications based on these measurements.Qualifications/Education:
Experience in microscopy measurements. BSc in PhysicsLocation: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (3) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
