Research Assistant 1 - Cell Based and Immunoassay

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze samples for various compounds and components in compliance with appropriate SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines.Document work properly and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.Recognizes deviations from expected results and notifies line management.Operates equipment/instrumentation in accordance with appropriate SOPs. Effectively plans assigned workload on a daily basisMaintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.Contributes to a cohesive team environment.  Plans individual workload in coordination with team memberEducation/QualificationsBS/BA degree in science or related fieldExperience may be substituted for educationStrong ability to learn is requiredDemonstrates effective oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsOrganizational skillsMust be able to work in a laboratory settingBasic understanding of laboratory operationsBasic knowledge of computers and software programs.Knowledge of cGMP is helpfulWorking ConditionsWork is performed in a laboratoryMay work with potential hazardous substances.Work requires PPE (personal protective equipment).Overtime and weekend work as required.Mandatory immunization and screening as required.Attending technical conferences and exhibits as required.
