POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Amal Idrissi Janati, the Research Assistant will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities integral to the successful execution and completion of
ongoing and future research projects.
The main tasks of the Research Assistant are described below:
- Assist in knowledge syntheses (scoping reviews, systematic reviews, etc.)
- Assist in the planning and design of research projects, including developing methodologies and
protocols, communicating with other research collaborators, submitting applications for ethical approval, monitoring project progress, writing research documents, reports and proposals, revising
and editing documents, preparing and submitting manuscripts to journals and monitoring their revision.
- Assist with administrative tasks: document activities, plan meetings or other events, manage invitations and logistics, prepare periodic project progress reports.
- Participate in data collection processes, ensuring that ethical considerations and standards of quality and confidentiality are respected
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in health sciences (clinical, epidemiological or evaluative research)
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Written French and English
• Oral communication in French and English to communicate with research participants.
• Previous research experience, particularly in conducting systematic reviews and syntheses of knowledge and quantitative analyses.
• Previous experience in mixed or qualitative design is an asset.
