Hiring Unit:

Department of Biology (Professor Rodrigo Reyes)

Position Summary:

Coding for image analysis.Analysis of images obtained from group members.Reorganize and improve previously developed analysis protocols.Generate conclusions from results obtained from the analysis, and reports from the graduate students in the Reyes Lab.Write report on the analysis protocol developed and contribute to writing a research paper.Provide guidance and training to graduate students in the selection, use and interpretation of results derived from analysis.Provide maintenance of computer equipment and participate in other administrative tasks.


Qualifications:

Organized.Reliable.Detailed oriented.Flexible with schedule.

Education/Experience:

MSc in Biology or Computer Science.Experience coding in Python.Experience with image analysis for fluorescence microscopy.2 years experience in image analysis.

Location:  This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.  The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
