Research Assistant
We are seeking a **_Research Assistant_** will be responsible for providing a range of research related support, including in the development of federal and privately funded grant proposals, presentation development, conducting literature reviews, composing research reports, writing press releases, and assisting with additional dissemination activities (policy fact sheets, video content, etc). **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** _Scholarship/Dissemination_ + Prepare oral presentations that characterize progress, trends, and make appropriate recommendations or conclusions. + Conceptualize, draft, and revise scholarly manuscripts. + Work with the PI to develop dissemination materials for a multitude of audiences including families, policy makers, and public health officials. _Grant Development and Management_ + Support the PI and grant writing team in the development of grant proposals for submission to federal and private funding agencies. + Support in the preparation of protocols and documentation for submission to the Institutional Review Board. + Support in the preparation of progress/final reports at the end of each funding cycle for federal and private funding agencies. **Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Strong writing skills (Required) + Strong presentation development skills. + Enthusiastic, responsible, able to work independently, and meticulous attention to detail. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills **Physical Requirements** + Ability to work in front of a computer **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. + Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. **Preferred Qualifications** + At least three or more years' previous work experience providing research support preferred. **Classified Title** : Research Assistant Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/03/CD **Starting Salary Range:** $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($23,195 targeted; Commensurate with experience) Employee group: Casual / On Call **Schedule:** Monday - Friday (up to 10 hrs per week) Exempt Status: Non-Exempt Location: **District of Columbia** Department name: Research Administration Personnel area: School of Nursing The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting.
