Research Assistant
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Research Assistant to join a large, Global technology client on-site in Toronto. They will be joining a group focused on research, building prototypes, and evaluating novel interactions for human experiences in AR/VR. The Research Assistant will be heavily involved with Engineers and Researchers to prepare and help maintain labs to run human experiments of between 20-100 people. It is their responsibility to coordinate approvals, reviews, and help carry out study protocol. They will work in-person to conduct experiments, including recruiting and briefing participants; obtaining consent; running through studies in the simulated setting/environment; ensuring the data is properly documented and the results are communicated to the larger team. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial intelligence/cognitive science, neuroscience/psychology, or closely related study - 1+ years of experience working on research studies in a lab, with human subjects/participants with hands on experience - Masters graduate or past education/academia research experience with lab work - Passionate about Research and working with people (able to keep them at ease and represent the company well) - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Technical skills with AR/VR software, coding, prototyping - Research assistant in their Education/schooling - Relevant customer service experience in a fast-paced environment null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
