Overview:
The Faculty of Education at McGill University is seeking 2 motivated graduate students to co-lead a transformative project aimed at building a strong Black community within the Faculty of Education. This initiative is part of McGill's broader Action Plan to Address Anti-Black Racism.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of research and community-building projects.Supervise and guide research teams, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards.Manage the distribution of resources, including time and personnel, to ensure project success.Serve as the main point of contact between the research teams, the Advisory Committee, and other stakeholders.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data collection and analysis processes, providing oversight for quality control.

your department, program, and expected date of graduationyour experience as a Black student at McGill and within your communityan explanation of why you believe focusing on the Black experience and addressing anti-Black racism is essential for the Faculty of Education.any prior volunteer or work experience working with Black community organizations or Black student organizations

Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):

A demonstrated interest in anti-Black racism, Black community-building, and improving Black student and faculty experiences.

Education/experience requirements

An undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institutionCurrent Black students enrolled in any graduate, certificate, or continuing education program within the Faculty of Education at McGill.

Additional qualifying skills and abilities:

 No prior research experience is necessary, but students should have a passion for social change and community engagement.
