Posting Number NONAC3320 Job Title Research Assistant II Position Title Research Assistant II Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Comm Hlth/Prev Med-Ch/Pm Position Summary This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the implementation of the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (CTSA) Community Engagement program and Georgia CEAL identified projects in the Prevention Research Center (PRC). This position is responsible for assisting with implementing evidenced based, culturally appropriate strategies, building community trust and resilience, decreasing the prevalence of chronic diseases, and increasing access to related services among racial and ethnic minority populations and other socially vulnerable populations. In addition, this position will also assist with the preparation of reports and dissemination of study findings. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited College or University
Experience: Experience conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method data analyses. Experience or strong interest in community-based research and evaluation. Proficient using data collection and analytical statistical software and tools (e.g., SPSS and Qualtrics). Job Duties Description of Job Duty Supervises, plans, manages, directs, coordinates, and facilitates the daily activities related to institutional efforts to procure and execute extramural awards. May research and select funding opportunities for the department. Reviews and assures that all proposals are responsive to sponsor guidelines and requirements. Assists in strategic planning and in developing short-range plans, goals, and objectives. Monitors and tracks internal reviews of proposals. Knowledge of budget and program management best practices. Collaboratively develops methods for data collection and provide simple analyses in a timely manner. Manages data and research study applications and regularly tracks the content of the data coming into the database to inform future processes Assists in the development and formulation of project reports, studies, and other technical documentation Attend weekly team meetings, monthly webinars, and conference calls with partners to discuss evaluations, progress and ensure effective conduct of communications across the networks Basic knowledge of statistical software and strong technology procedure Serves as the liaison for interrelated projects, as assigned. Immunization Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment.
