Posting Number NONAC3465 Job Title Research Assistant II Position Title Research Assistant II Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Comm Hlth/Prev Med-Ch/Pm Position Summary The Research Assistant II (RAII) will provide professional level support related to research and evaluation of projects at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Prevention Research Center. The RAII is responsible for gathering accurate, credible information on the assigned research, assisting with study administrative procedures, theoretical and applied research, human subject compliance, summarizing findings to answer questions related to project goals and objectives. The RAII duties will involve conducting literature reviews, data collection, maintaining study documents, analysis and interpretation, report writing, and presentations. The RAII will be responsible for scheduling and hosting meetings to identify research or project evaluation needs, provide progress updates, and to communicate research or evaluation findings. Minimum Qualifications Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree in public health or related health or social sciences field
Experience: Experience conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method data analyses. Experience or strong interest in community-based research and evaluation. Proficient using data collection and analytical statistical software and tools (e.g., SPSS and Qualtrics). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Experience: Master’s degree in public health or related health or social sciences field. Two (2) years experience conducting quantitative, qualitative or mixed-method data analysis.

Assists in implementing procedures and protocols for research activities utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, under general supervision. Assists in developing work plans in accordance with research objectives Assists with developing data collection instruments. Assists in creating data collection and data management. Assists with the preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and submits it to the board for review and approval. Support the research team with the implementation of study activities. Assists in the collection of data and/or conducts independent research for the unit specific to the assignment. Assists in planning and scheduling research procedures. Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research. Immunization Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment.
