Posting Number NONAC3341 Job Title Research Assistant III Position Title Research Assistant III Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Medicine Position Summary The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant (RA III) with experience in data to assist with a multi-site training program at the Morehouse School of Medicine. The ideal candidate has experience with data science applied to environmental health research to support research efforts to set up a new AI/ML health equity lab focusing on Precision Environmental Health Research.

DUTIES Collaboratively develop methods for data collection and provide simple analyses in a timely manner. Develop and update regulatory, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and consent forms/documents. Assist in the development and formulation of project reports, studies, and other technical documentation Attend weekly team meetings, monthly webinars, and conference calls with RCMI Coordination Center and other partners to discuss evaluations, progress and ensure effective conduct of communications across the networks. Basic knowledge of statistical software and strong technology procedures Assists in planning and conducting research studies and summarize findings Conducting a literature review/discovery process to develop standards around data science and health disparities that are informed by diverse academic and industry perspectives. Facilitate curriculum development and other committee meetings to identify and develop/update modules related to Data Science and Health Disparities. Reviewing literature and contributing to manuscripts at the nexus of data science, AI/ML, and health disparities. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.


Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Education: Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Public Health or Related field.


Experience: Extensive experience working on research program development including strong understanding of clinical research regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
