Yes Duties and Responsibilities Assists Principal Investigator (PI), research staff, and students with various lab procedures and projects, including but not limited to the following: + Performance of straightforward lab assays as instructed by PI. + Collection and organization of data, data entry and analysis, and literature searches. · + Incorporate new information/ techniques into experiments with PI’s approval. + Monitors inventory of essential lab supplies and orders additional supplies when required. + Maintain orderly records of purchases. P + Professional record keeping of experiments conducted. · Transparent communication with PI about any difficulties and/ or errors so that solutions can be implemented. + Prepares solutions, buffers and media. + Maintains a safe and orderly lab environment. + Adheres to safety regulations and university policies. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience Qualifications + Ability to communicate verbally + Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people + Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and established procedures + Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency + Ability to maintain confidentiality + Ability to perform basic filing, office procedures and word processing + Diligent record keeping + Ability to work as an effective team member + High standards of integrity Certificates/Credentials/Licenses N/A Computer Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint Excel) is essential; training in use of GraphPad, SPSS , and Endnote will be provided.
