Political scientists at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) are looking to hire a full-time research assistant/associate to start in September 2025. The position entails data management, replication, and visualization as well as literature reviews and light text editing. There might be an opportunity for co-authorships for a qualified candidate. A successful candidate must have advanced data analysis skills in Stata and R, experience with data visualization in R, and GIS data work in R and/or ArcGIS. The candidate must be self-motivated, an independent thinker, fluent in English, and have well-developed writing skills. The position is open to applicants with a master’s degree or above in any social science discipline, quantitative data analysis, or statistics. Candidates with qualifications in or familiarity with political science concepts are preferred. This is a full-time position based at NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi. The appointment will run from September 2025 until August 2026 with a possibility of extension. The terms of employment are competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
