Research Assistant NES

Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator will conduct specific research protocols associated with assigned research projects related to implementing digital health interventions in medical care setting. The research assistant will contribute a project aimed at gathering stakeholder input aggregating and analyzing the data and generating actionable recommendations to improve an existing digital health intervention being used in primary care.

 

Responsibilities:

Gather organize and interpret qualitative in-depth interview data from stakeholders.

Assist with literature reviews recruiting and enrolling study participants reviewing Zoom transcripts post-interview and correcting any errors made by the AI transcription service filling in template summary sheets to capture key interview data from each participant maintaining documentation of data collection assisting with data aggregation and attending regular coding team meetings to discuss findings. The research assistant will work independently and report progress regularly to their supervisor(s). Opportunities are also available for writing and submitting scientific abstracts and/or peer-reviewed manuscripts. 

 

Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor�s Degree in relevant field (e.g. psychology public health health sciences).
 
Basic computer knowledge i.e. being able to navigate through PC software typing/word processing and completing spreadsheet/data entry.
 
Ability to appropriately collect and store various biospecimens in accordance to specific protocols
 
EXPERIENCE:
 
Interviewing experience.
Prior exposure to some aspects of qualitative research (e.g. transcription of spoken dialogue qualitative coding and conducting focus groups and/or in-depth interviews) OR has enthusiasm to learn these methods.
Two years experience in research setting.
 
 
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
 
Incumbent functions within the scope of department policies and practices.  Refers specific problems/issues to supervisor(s).
