Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Research Assistant to join our Antibody Discovery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting scientific research goals of the team by performing essential laboratory tasks, including cell culture, sample processing, preparation of reagents and assays. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Scope/Impact
Performs routine laboratory tasks as well as assigned experiments under direction and supervision. Clean and maintain various types of laboratory equipment. Prepare reagents and workspaces for upcoming sample processing. Complete other tasks as assigned (e.g. restocking, workspace cleanup). Cell culture maintenance Preparing and running flow cytometry experiments Generating cell lines via lentiviral transfection and transduction Develops understanding of laboratory systems, procedures, and requirements.Complexity
Uses standard laboratory procedures and follows processes to solve routine problems under general supervision. Gain familiarity with Adaptive’s laboratory processes, sterile tissue culture techniques, viral handling, flow cytometry, protein purification and high-throughput ELISA assay. Keep accurate and detailed records in an Electronic Notebook (ELN) for all workflows following Good Documentation Practices. With guidance, collates and interprets data and synthesizes results into a conclusion with their supervisor.Knowledge/Level of Expertise
Demonstrate good judgment and integrity while developing strong experimental techniques. Build and continually develop an understanding of the underlying scientific principles of the equipment and analytical methods utilized in the lab.Interaction, Supervision and Discretion

Required
High school diploma 1+ years of experience in lab academic, research and development, or manufacturing; or other related experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Working Conditions
The Research Assistant will mostly work in a BSL-2 laboratory environment. The role involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions such as pipetting, and occasionally lifting objects up to 25 lbs. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday and occasional flexibility to meet experimental timelines.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $23.31 - $31.54
Other compensation elements include:

Adaptive’s posted compensation information includes a base salary (or hourly rate) range and summary of other available total compensation. The base salary range represents a minimum-to-maximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process, including: a candidate’s ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education), a candidate’s ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications, current market conditions, and internal pay equity. Listed base salary is exclusive of bonus, commission, equity, differential pay, benefits, and other incentives.
