The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service. Minimum requirements include a PhD in life sciences with a focus on fungal pathogenesis and/or immunology and a minimum of three years of experience in this area. The ideal applicant will be expected to also have substantial experience working with rodent infection models and in the field of neuroscience. The candidate must be able to work independently to generate and analyze data, to prepare manuscripts for submission, and to prepare grant applications in support of independent research. In addition, it is anticipated that the candidate would collaborate with additional programs within the Department, College and University. Finally, successful candidates are expected to contribute to the mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students. Other position responsibilities include presentation of research findings at conferences, annual meetings, and seminars and contributing to the continued growth of the Department of Oral Biology’s research program. Expected Salary: Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
