Job Summary
Summary: Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities that may include conducting a variety of routine experiments with established methodologies, data collection and management, and other research activities as assigned.Does this position require Patient Care? Essential Functions:
- Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Study cohort management.
- Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents.
- Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required
Experience:
New grad with some relevant coursework 0-1 year preferred

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail.

The CART Research Assistant will:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies for older adults with or without mild cognitive impairment/dementia/Alzheimer’s disease. This may involve attending off-site recruitment events.Schedule appointments and assure completion of visits.Assist in Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.Interact with regulatory personnel (e.g., IRB).Administer cognitive testing and behavioral questionnaires for multiple research studies.Review study details and obtain informed consent from potential subjects.Abstract information from medical records and enter into a computerized database to help determine subject eligibility and collect necessary study data.Assist in maintaining research databases, including data entry, regular quality assurance checks, and preparation of specific data for analysis.Attend outreach/recruitment events in the community.Assist with phlebotomy (*training will be provided).Assist with human biofluid sample processing and transport/travel of samples/supplies as needed between study sites.Assist PI with his/her analyses, as well as working on own analyses and publications.
