Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled laboratory assistant for a 9-month temporary position in the Food Biochemistry group at our Brabrand Innovation Site. In this position you will become a part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that develops enzymes for the food industry – enzyme products that enable healthier food and more sustainable production. Our focus area is enzymes for food in general, but with the main emphasis on use in bakery, brewery and dairy industry as well as plant-based foods.

Your tasks include:

Biochemical characterization of enzymesEvaluation of enzyme candidates in food model systemsAnalysis, evaluation and reporting of test resultsOperation and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Qualifications:

You are a trained laboratory assistant with knowledge of biochemistry, preferably with skills in enzymology and/or protein chemistryYou are independent in laboratory work and know your way around the laboratory environmentYou are professionally fluent in English, since the department is part of an international environment with colleagues all over the world and majority of your daily tasks will be conducted in English

It is an advantage that you are familiar with various IT programs and are interested in learning new software within the scope of this position.

You will be part of project teams, which are part of a larger department and often work in global projects with colleagues from all over the world and develop products for large global companies.  You also work often with smaller local teams. We have great commitment, strong skills and broad experience within enzymology, biochemistry and the functionality of enzymes.
