Job Summary

Entry-level science professional that performs laboratory science in collaboration with team members to generate, analyze, document and report technical data to support research programs.

Responsibilities: CREATION 80 % •Prepares and performs experiments according to instructions. •Consults with peers to troubleshoot problems at the task level when they occur. •With guidance, analyzes, discusses, and draws conclusions from own data. •Makes detailed observations, prepares data analyses and summaries, and document experiments. •Helps to prepare materials for presentation by self and others. Contributes to technical reports and presentations. INNOVATION / NEW TECHNOLOGY 10 % •Gains knowledge in basic areas of scientific research within a specific competency under the guidance of more experienced and senior staff. •Acquires familiarity with current scientific literature in related discipline. CUSTOMER INTIMACY AND TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP 5% •Participates in Department meetings and other functional activities. •Communicates experimental results with project and functional teams. •Interacts and networks within project and functional teams. •Seeks ways to collaborate with others. LEADERSHIP 5% •Recognizes and brings awareness to potential safety and environmental problems within their immediate work area or group. Participates in setting work goals and priorities with supervisor. Job requirements: BS degree or equivalent experience.
