Main Purpose
This role is critical for the insectary at the Fontezuela Site through the operation of daily rearing activities, process improvement, method development, digital implementation and shipping of insects to key partners.
Your mission Will be to
Responsible for the planning and following daily routine of key insect rearing in controlled environment.Assist on insect sampling, processing and logistics Follow established workflows, timelines and deadlines, adapting approaches to match shifting demands; Build partnership and work collaboratively with peers to meet shared objectives. Troubleshoots assays challenges and implement system improvements, including the development of new assays and statistics analysis Train other team members in specific related activities; Effective management of rearing supplies such as diet ingredients, seeds, leaves, vitamins, etcOversight and give direction to seasonal/temporary workforce, including training, planning, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems; Participate in all activities associated with the maintenance and upkeep of research equipment, infrastructure, and facilities Comply with Biosafety/Stewardship/SSHE regulations following Bayer´s policies and guidelines, including Quality Management System, promoting safe working environment and housekeeping practices.Responsible for keeping insect traceability, identifying and implementing improvements, accordingly to Insectary needs.Be able to create, use and reorganize the information/data on Power Apps, power BI or any similar applications.Unlock your Potencial
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biology or related areas English – intermediate Expertise in insect rearing and bioassays in laboratory, greenhouses and field conditions; Knowledge on Entomology and the key agricultural pests Laboratory routine expertise Expertise in scientific methods, research plans, statistical analysis and technical communication.Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or similar. R or any statistical software.Initiative and foresight Agility Results Orientation Digital skills is a competitive differential Availability 100% onsite in Fontezuela
