Research Associate-Fixed Term
Position Summary The Edger Lab in the Department of Horticulture is hiring a research associate who will provide expert support to ongoing and future research. The ideal candidate must have a strong expertise working with Camelina sativa (false flax) and Fragaria sp. (strawberry), including molecular biology and tissue culture techniques. The ideal candidate must have expertise in bioinformatics and genomic analyses. The candidate will be expected to work with other lab members to generate various genomic datasets and assist with other associated project experiments. The employee will participate as a professional expert on research teams and will act as a key resource to other lab members and on-campus collaborators associated with the project. This position will also involve assisting with writing manuscripts to describe research results.
