Research Associate-Fixed Term
Position Summary The School of Packaging is looking to fill 1-2 research associate positions in paper coating. Candidates with expertise in developing paper coatings for packaging, paper recycling, and performance analysis for paper coatings are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be expected to design, develop, and perform experiments related to paper coating and packaging and report progress to Dr. Rabnawaz. In addition, these candidates will be expected to mentor one or two graduate/undergraduate students in our research group. Required Degree Doctorate -Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Paper Science. Minimum Requirements Candidates will have completed a PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Sciences, Paper Sciences, or a closely related field by the position start date. Desired Qualifications Candidates will have a good record of productivity in paper coating, analytical methods for coated paper characterization (e.g., DSC, DMA, TGA, tensile properties, etc.), and use of standard methods for conducting paper performance.
